Alot of people may be trying to figure out well how do we connect via usb under windows. Here is a simple guide below. Its quite simple but might not be so apparent at first glance if trying to connect to usb.Remember the Gmenu2x firmware has the game folder hidden for now so if you want to add files to game use the command file app built in.
1 Power off the device
2 Plug in usb cable into device and PC.
3 Hold down button B (keep it pressed) and then power the RS-97 on.
4 You should hear that famous usb sound you all know it ;)
5 Now if you go to my computer you should see the device drives of rs-97
6 Just a note this is the same procedure under Gmenu2x firmware.
How does the RG350 connect to windows 10 via USB? cant get it working.
Excellent, is it the same procedure for my RG350?
Hoping someone can help me before I lose my mind 😰😰 I received my rg300 newer snes coloured one and for the life of me can not access the Inter nal storage I have flashed with the custom firmware and used a 32gb card so I can throw all the games on that I wont be deleting and an sd card that I can rotate games/collections in and out with but i just can not get into the rom folder have tried the original sd that came with it and 2 cards I flashed today both through a.card reader and in the unit with the provided usb lead can anyone point me in the right direction
Hi simon looks like you got a device that does not support usb they are breaking usb on newer devices the work around is look for the universal patcher and instal a custom kernel for your device patch your favorite firmware with it enjoy.
I've tried this and it's not working for me.
Connect PC via USB to RS-97
Hold B and power up. Keep holding B.
Connection icon appears on RS-97 and charges battery - but never does the SD card or cards appear as a usb device in Windows.
I've tried different USB Cables, different USB ports and different PCs. Nothing.
Has the procedure changed since first published, or do I potentially have a faulty RS-97?
Would appreciate some help here please.
