In Questions & Answers
WORKING WELL AND STABLE (Out of the box, Smooth, Buttons Configured Correctly, Slight Issues) [Some of these emulators will need to be downloaded outside of the release for now, until the next update] {These updated emulators can be found here in the beta emulator section: http://bit.ly/2HtE77d}: Atari 2600 - Works well Atari 7800 (Pro System) - Works well (Button mapping is wrong, but can be changed and saved) (fps is on but can be turned off and saved) Atari Lynx (Handy) - Updated - You can find this on Steward's Github or wait for the next release.  It's working much smoother and the sound is a little better. Roms need to be unzipped. I'm not going to say completely stable, but very playable. One problem is the buttons are mapped to A and B.  You can at least get the jump button to B by swapping controls in the config of the emulater.  Your A is going to be attack though, instead of Y.  It's small, but hopefully Steward can change that point. Atari 800 (Atari) - Working well (Note that the emulator's name in the icon is 5200, but can't get that running.  There is a load 800 rom option in the menu.  The emulator's default system is set on 800, Need the bios or os in the .atari/roms folder, .atr rom format, I believe button mapping is B-fire 1, Y-fire 2, A-start, X-set or reset?) Amstrad CPC (CAP32) - Working well (Put roms anywhere in roms folder and loads directory. no bios. Need to call keyboard at times but game controls and dpad are mapped, to get to menu - first press select then quickly press start) Neo Geo Pocket and Color (Race OD) -  Works pretty well out of the box (Buttons mapped correctly, Screen is small but has a nice border, fullscreen will lag and it's not playable) Gameboy/Gameboy Color (Oh Boy) - Works well and 1st Choice(Great scaling options, buttons are mapped correctly) SMS (Picodrive) - Works well (Buttons are mapped incorrectly, this can be changed in the settings [player 1, A=A, B=X, C=B], but you will need patience as it's super laggy and skips 1 row, once changed hit save global config and the settings will stay) NES (FCEUX) - Works well (Buttons mapped correctly, Video scaling is broken only aspect for now [This has been fixed in an update, you can get it now or wait for the next release. GBA (ReGBA) - Works well and 1st Choice (Buttons are mapped correctly, a lot of settings options) Tonyjih has an update for this emulator that makes it even better! SNES (PocketSnes) - After testing, overall working alright.  You won't be playing demanding games at 60/60, but the frame rate is very playable for a good chunk of games.  Enjoying snes on this handheld is definitely possible.  I'm not going to say this is completely stable.  If I had to guess, it'll be playing 60-70 percent of games well.  Tonyjih did a good job with the update for this emulator, putting it into the 1st choice position.  It's the best we have right now and hopefully can be improved further. PC Engine (Temper)- Works well (Buttons mapped correctly, need to unzip roms to .pce, zip doesn't run, will get slow down when a lot is on the screen or big boss battles i.e.- air zonk) PC Engine CD (Temper)- Works well (Buttons mapped correctly, need to run the .cue file or it will crash,  .bin worked but .iso didn't for me, need bios in .temper/syscards folder) Genesis (Picodrive) - Works well (Button mapping can be changed in the options of most games, all games are different with how they assign jump, attack, special) [TonyJih has an update for this emulator that makes it better!) Sega CD (Picodrive) - Need bios in .picodrive folder. TonyJih has an update for this, users reported it running full speed and well! Neo Geo (GNGEO) - Works well (All games reported working brilliantly.  Zip format) ZX Spectrum (Speccy) - Works well (Unfortunately the up button is mapped to jump, it would be great to have it mapped to B) FBA Arcade(FBA GCW0) - Finalburn Alpha (GCW0) is a fantastic emulator and the star of the show.  You can ignore the others at this point. FBA(GCW0) runs NeoGeo, CPS1/2, and many other arcade roms perfectly.  [Fba got an update making things a little more improved] Need fba 0.2.97.35 Romset and in .zip format, CPS1, CPS2, and or Neo Geo romset also have been said to work.  A word of warning.  The majority of the games will work, here is a list as well: http://boards.dingoonity.org/ingenic-jz4760-devices/rs-97-custom-firmware-v1-2-emulator-guide-(stable-unstable-not-working)/?action=dlattach;attach=6480 This is info and how to get it going from user Smakx: FBA requires a little bit of simple setup, here are some tips: 1. Hit start from the fba menu and select rom paths. Pick an empty rom path slot and a file browser pops up, browse to where your arcade roms are and hit the start button to set the path to the roms. I have my NeoGeo roms in a separate folder, so I set up a second path to those. 2. Hit start from the fba menu and select filter options, set this to "Available Only" so that your game list only shows the roms that you have and isn't 20 miles long. You can advance through your game list a page at a time with the shoulder buttons. 3. Some games that had vertical screens will start vertically on your device (sideways). This can be great for games like pacman and frogger that don't use any buttons - the dpad magically adjusts to the sideways screen position. Alternately after selecting a game, in the pre-launch menu there is an option to rotate these games so that they run normally - the system retains this setting per game. 4. To exit back to the fba menu from within a game, hold both shoulders and hit start. 5. When testing roms, a bad or incompatible rom will sometimes cause crashes back to the system menu with the system locked up. If this happens you can reset the system with a toothpick, paperclip, pin, etc through a small hole in the lower right bottom of the system. This is easier than removing the battery. Once a list of compatible roms has been established this should cease to be an issue. As stated earlier I plan to upload a list of arcade games verified working with fba(gcw0) sometime this weekend. By default you can assume all Neo Geo and Capcom CPS 1 & 2 games to be working. Hope some of this info is helpful to someone. Thanks again to everyone involved in the development of these software packages and the support of this device and the surrounding "scene", you guys are awesome. UNSTABLE, Experimental, and/or 2nd Choice: (Running Slow, Sound Issues, Stuttering, Challenging/Problemed Setup, Ect.) Atari 5200  - blue screened with .a52 files, put the bios in the roms folder, changed the system to 5200, still nothing. Atari ST (dcastaway) - After testing about 10 games, I'd say this is very hit or miss.  60% of the games had stuttering, didn't load, the sound will always be choppy and slow at the start however it could recover when the game starts. It's cool to get it going, but I can't call this stable just yet.  If we can list of running games, maybe.  The setup can be challenging if you don't know Atari ST (mouse and the keyboard sometimes glitches around).  The button mapping is not correct.  Example games tested: Super Stario Land, Out Run, Addams Family, The Great Giana Sisters (no boot), Midnight Resistance, Rick Dangerous,  Video kid (played ok, some screen tearing), Xenon 2 (cool but not full frame rate in game)... Wonderboy Swan (Oswan) - Slow and Choppy Gameboy/Gameboy Color (GameBatte) - Runs well but buttons are mapped incorrectly/can't change, not a lot of settings options SMS (SMS emulator) - 120 fps and not working... GBA (gpSP) - Runs well but buttons are mapped incorrectly/can't change, not a lot of settings options.  Compatibility and/or performance may be better depending on game.  At any rate, you will need to sacrifice button mapping until updated.  If that's ok, give it a go! SNES (Snes9x4d) - This moved to 2nd place. It works pretty well.  Problems arise when you change config, exit and reenter messes up scaling, seems too fast at times. Collecovision (ColEm) - Working Well to play games.  Can't access mnt to get to games on internal/external. Button mapping isn't set up to run games from the go.  It would be better if the number 1 and 2 be mapped to L and R so you can run a game out of the box Sega 32x (Picodrive) - Too slow and laggy to even start. MSX (OPENMSX) - Key Remapping and Rom Selector issues, if roms are not in correct place, you will be stuck on a blue screen, need to reset. Intellivision (jzIntv) - Crashing back to rom menu when you load a rom.  Any feedback? C64 (Vice) - copy roms into the C64 folder, select autostart image, find the rom in C64 folder then it will autostart rom. Currently testing. Amiga (UAE4ALL) - Got a few games running pretty well, tricky setup and controller config, some games locked and i needed a reset.  With effort you should be able to run this.  Not an out of the box emulator. PSX (PCSX4ALL every version) - Slow and dragging, some less demanding games run pretty well.  2d games/platformers are said to be playing nicely. Dos (Dosbox) - Little information on this emulator at the moment.  Reported that can't change between discs or the location of them.  Needs more feedback and testing. Thanks goes to (Princebatman (OP) over at dingoonity forums for providing the list.
