A user has reported in the RS-97 Discord Chat that he was unable to image his new RS-97 with any version of the CFW and identified that it is down to having received a new revision of the device. When attempting to boot a card imaged with any version of the cfw the device stops on a white screen. The device does still boot with the included sdcard/firmware.
Under the battery the version number of the device can be seen printed on the board.
While my RS-97 says RETRO-GAME-v2.0 and is dated 2017.11.18, the one he received says 2.1 with a different date (seemingly mis-dated 2017 when it should be 2018).

Update confirmed working and tested by user dribbletaint#2387
Additionally, the bezel around the screen is different, and has some text printed on the right side where the original unit had none.
His unit was purchased from this link: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Data-Frog-Retro-Handheld-Game-Console-3-0-Inch-Console-Built-in-818-Different-Games-Support/32846555193.html
Be advised that if you receive a 2.1 unit the current custom firmwares will not work with it, and at the least a version with a video driver for the new screen will need to be worked out. Thanks to Dribbletaint to bringing this to our attention and providing pictures.
